Community Engagement Specialist

Brunel is seeking a skilled Community Engagement Specialist to support their renewables recruitment team for a Wind Farm project in Regional Victoria.

About the role:

  • Develop and implement community engagement plans to support the Wind Farm project, ensuring stakeholders are informed, consulted, and involved throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders such as landowners, community groups, councils, government agencies, and other partners.
  • Coordinate and facilitate community consultation activities including information sessions, community meetings, and workshops.
  • Act as a key point of contact for community members providing timely and accurate information about the project addressing concerns and managing any issues that arise.
  • Work closely with the project team to ensure community feedback is incorporated into project planning and decision-making processes.
  • Develop and manage communication materials including newsletters website content and social media updates.
  • Monitor and report on community engagement activities providing regular updates to the project team and stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in community engagement stakeholder management and project management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Knowledge and understanding of community engagement principles practices and tools.
  • Understanding of the renewable energy sector and regulatory environment.
  • Experience working in a regional or rural setting and understanding of rural communities and their needs.
  • Tertiary qualifications in a related field are highly desirable.
