Job Title:

Maintenance Fitter

About the Role
  • Preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on plant equipment.
  • Install and upgrade mechanical systems and equipment.
  • Keep accurate maintenance records in line with quality standards.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in safety training and promote a safe work environment.

You will be responsible for maintaining a range of equipment from conveyors and furnaces to glass-cutting machines and non-industrial systems. Full Training provided through our Training Academy. One Year completion bonus of $2500. Day shift: Monday to Friday (8h shift). Up to $56.38 per hour (plus OT) depending on experience.

A recognised trade qualification (Fitter or Machinist) is required. Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and bench fitting (grinding, polishing, milling, lathe work) is also essential. Strong understanding of safety and quality standards in manufacturing is necessary. High attention to detail and commitment to quality are expected. Ability to work independently and as part of a team is required. Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments are also essential.

Key ResponsibilitiesEquipment Maintenance:
  • Perform routine checks and perform preventative maintenance on plant equipment.
  • Inspect equipment regularly to identify potential issues.
Continuous Improvement:
  • Support the development of new procedures and processes.
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement changes.
