Job Description

The position of Clinical Specialist Radiographer is available at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital.

This role is a clinical specialist within a given modality area, utilising clinical expertise in musculoskeletal imaging. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing clinical expertise and supporting imaging procedures in Orthopaedics.

The primary purpose of the role is to assist the General Section Manager Radiographer in the orientation and training of radiographers and Medical Radiation Scientist students in the specialty of Rheumatology and Orthopaedics.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide clinical expertise in musculoskeletal imaging and support imaging procedures in Orthopaedics.
  • Assist in orientation and training of radiographers and Medical Radiation Scientist students in Rheumatology and Orthopaedics.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate must hold a degree in Medical Radiation Science or equivalent.

They must also hold NSW EPA Radiation Licence and registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).

Extensive knowledge, expertise and experience within Orthopaedics, including procedures and imaging equipment, is highly desirable.
