Program Scheduler Role

A program scheduler is required to work within a complex government organization, managing and maintaining an Integrated Master Schedule. The role involves establishing and managing dependencies with external vendors while ensuring best practice scheduling.

  • Work closely with the Program Manager, Project Manager, and Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies, and Decisions (RAIDD) Manager to manage dependency and scheduling issues.
  • Generate performance indicators on the effectiveness of the program in meeting planned commitments.
  • Produce weekly status updates and monthly reports and charts on the program's progress and performance against the integrated schedule.
  • Lead the development, documentation, and implementation of project scheduling processes and records management.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Manage a valid and accurate Integrated Master Schedule while ensuring best practice scheduling.
  • Provide options to mitigate the impact on delivery dates.
  • Closely manage dependencies and scheduling issues that might impact the program's ability to complete the critical pathway.

Professional/Technical Skills and Knowledge Requirements:

  • 3+ years' experience working as a Program Scheduler on large transformation programs.
  • Demonstrated experience in Microsoft Projects is essential.
  • Extensive experience in schedule planning and management.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
