Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Fire Safety Specialist to join our team. As an Auxiliary Firefighter, you will be responsible for responding to emergency incidents, promoting community safety, and contributing to community education activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to fire and other emergency incidents as part of a team, focusing on customer safety and effectiveness on the fire ground.
  • Promote community safety and emergency preparedness by participating in community education activities.
  • Develop and maintain competencies through regular drills and training courses provided by QFES.
  • Maintain required attendance standards for emergency incidents and training.
  • Operate specialist firefighting and rescue equipment safely and effectively.
Requirements
  • Australian Permanent Resident Status.
  • Manual C Class driver's licence.
  • Ability to commit to attending 50% of calls as a day worker with routine hours or 30% of calls as a shift worker or having non-routine hours.
  • Capacity to attend 75% of regular drill and training sessions.
