About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Fire Safety Specialist to join our team at Queensland Fire and Emergency Services.
Job Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for responding to emergency incidents, promoting community safety and emergency preparedness through education activities, and developing and maintaining competencies through regular drills and training courses.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to fire and other emergency incidents as part of a team
- Promote community safety and emergency preparedness through education activities
- Develop and maintain competencies through regular drills and training courses
- Maintain attendance standards for emergency incidents and training
- Operate specialist firefighting and rescue equipment safely and effectively
- Contribute to upkeep and hygiene of station facilities
- Ensure maintenance and repair of operational equipment and station facilities
- Contribute to incident reporting and general station administration
Requirements
To be eligible for this role, you must be able to apply for or hold a current Blue Card, live or work within a reasonable distance of an auxiliary fire station, and have Australian Permanent Resident Status. You must also have a manual C Class driver's licence.
Salary
The estimated annual salary for this role is around $60,000-$70,000 AUD.
