Fire Safety Specialist

Queensland Fire and Emergency Services (QFES) is a leading emergency service agency responsible for ensuring the safety of people and property across Queensland. Our organisation comprises the Fire and Rescue Service, the Rural Fire Service, and the State Emergency Service, providing emergency response to Queenslanders.
Purpose of the RoleThe functions of QFES are unique in Australia, delivering high-quality fire, rescue, emergency, and disaster management services through a single agency. This collaborative approach enhances community safety outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Respond to fire and other emergency incidents as part of a team, adhering to ARTEP protocols.
- Promote community safety and emergency preparedness by participating in community education activities.
- Develop and maintain competencies through regular drills and training courses provided by QFES to ensure safety and effectiveness on the fire ground.
- Maintain required attendance standards for emergency incidents and training.
- Operate specialist firefighting and rescue equipment safely and effectively.

$50,000 - $70,000 per annum, depending on location and experience.
