Transport Policy Advisor

This role plays a pivotal part in shaping Queensland's transport sector reforms by ensuring policy objectives are effectively integrated into the reform process.

Main Responsibilities include:

  • Providing high-level guidance and support to senior stakeholders for effective participation in national transport forums.
  • Conducting in-depth analysis of complex policy options and advising on emerging state and national transport policy issues.
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure Transport Department positions are reflected in state and national transport policy agendas.
  • Presenting Transport Department views articulately and concisely at intergovernmental meetings.
  • Producing high-quality cabinet submissions, briefing notes, reports, correspondence, and recommendations on intricate policy matters.
  • Supplying timely and informative briefing materials for senior executives and decision-makers.

This position involves collaborating closely with the Government Partnerships team to contribute to a cohesive and highly performing work unit.
