Job Description

In this pivotal role, you will spearhead the development of strategic policy initiatives for the transport system in Queensland. Your expertise will be instrumental in shaping the future direction of transportation in the state.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the creation of policy frameworks that integrate transport with the built and natural environment, balancing movement and placemaking within transport corridors, nodes, and precincts.
  • Identify and develop strategic transport policy options, undertaking projects and activities to support the transport system's future direction.
  • Provide expert advice on sustainable transport priorities, policies, and challenges to decarbonize the transport sector.
  • Liaise and negotiate with stakeholders across government and industry on strategic transport system priorities.
  • Contribute to project teams, comprising internal and external stakeholders, in developing and implementing strategic transport policy and projects.
  • Prepare well-researched policy documents, briefs, and submissions.
