Job Title:

Strategic Transport Director

Job Overview:

The Strategic Transport Director will lead the development and implementation of complex transport policy, frameworks, projects, and programs for the Queensland transport system.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategic transport policies and frameworks that drive the development of the Queensland transport system.
  • Inform and coordinate organisational positioning activities in response to emerging customer requirements and transport system policy and issues.
  • Coordinate the identification, research, and analysis of a broad range of transport system issues, risks, and challenges.
  • Prepare timely and well-researched authoritative advice on transport system matters, policy, and challenges to stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain effective partnerships with stakeholders across government, industry, and community.
  • Represent the department as required in relation to organisational and transport system issues and policies.
  • Lead project teams to develop and implement transport policies and projects within agreed quality, cost, and time parameters.
  • Manage a program of work and team, including the coordination of transport policy and project tasks and day-to-day resourcing requirements.
