Freight Operations Manager

Job Title: Freight Officer Team Leader
Key Responsibilities:- Operate various sized counterbalance forklifts.
- Process general freight from beginning to end.
- Secure and restrain all loads as per the load restraint guide.
- Ensure accurate and complete scanning for freight in received, loaded, staged and unloaded functions.
- Prepare outgoing freight ensuring that goods are secured and packed correctly for dispatch.
- Lead a small team of Freight Officers.
- Current Forklift Licence (LF).
- Strong knowledge base in transport and logistics.
- Experience with general ugly/oversize freight.
- Expertise in load restraints using ratchet straps, chains and binders.
- Ability to lead, direct and supervise a small team.
- Immediate start available.
- Day / Afternoon shift time.
- Additional allowance and penalties on top of base rate.
- Permanent Full-time position.
- All PPE and uniforms provided, including steel cap boots.
- Strong team and safety culture.
