Freight Operations Coordinator Job Description
The role of Freight Operations Coordinator is a pivotal position within our organization, responsible for the end-to-end management of freight forwarding operations. The primary objective of this role is to ensure seamless shipment execution and timely resolution of customer inquiries.
Job Purpose:
To manage and execute all aspects of freight forwarding operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the entire shipment process from booking to job closure, ensuring accuracy and precision in all documentation and data entry activities.
- Coordinate and process sales orders with speed and efficiency, ensuring timely and accurate execution of shipments as per confirmed bookings.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve operational issues and ensure that services are delivered as promised.
- Maintain regular communication with customers to provide status updates, respond to inquiries, and address any issues promptly.
- Ensure that all shipment documentation is accurate and complete, complying with import/export regulations and company policies.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
This role requires a strong understanding of customs laws, procedures, and systems, as well as knowledge of Incoterms and risk and insurance terms in freight forwarding. Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Office is also essential. In addition, excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required to build rapport and trust with customers.
