As a skilled engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of our equipment across Western Australia.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in technical service and experience working with similar equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement technical service functions for our equipment.
  • Perform equipment installations, preventive maintenance and repairs on our equipment.
  • Interface with customers via visits, phone calls and emails to provide quality product support.
  • Diagnose faults, perform urgent repairs and participate in a rotating weekly after-hours on-call roster.
  • Provide applications, user and technical training.
  • File product complaints according to company procedures.
  • Assist with spare parts inventory management for various products.
  • Identify training needs and make recommendations.
  • Maintain preventive maintenance and troubleshooting records and document accordingly.
  • Document and update internal procedures.
  • Manage and maintain equipment and spares database files through accurate documentation of movement, tracking and repair statuses.
  • Deliver a superior level of customer after-sales support.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A trade certificate or technical diploma with strong hands-on technical service experience.
  • A restricted electrical license.
  • Experience in troubleshooting, repair, modification, overhaul or refurbishment of standard and special purpose equipment and systems components.
  • A valid driver's license and a willingness to travel within Western Australia.
  • Flexibility to carry out work duties occasionally beyond ordinary working hours.

Preferred skills include:

  • A full electrical license is advantageous.
  • Ability to operate a computer with intermediate understanding of DOS and Windows, as well as proficiency in Microsoft Office software packages such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Other requirements include:

  • Visual acuity and manual dexterity necessary to manipulate tools and equipment to perform essential functions.
  • Customer-oriented and focused individual.
