Your Role

We are seeking a skilled Environmental Project Specialist to join our team of passionate professionals. This role will involve working outdoors, constructing and maintaining wetland sites across Melbourne's outer suburbs. Your primary responsibilities will be soil preparation, laying jute, and planting plants to establish our construction sites.

As an integral part of our long-term success, you will work closely with site supervisors and project managers to deliver high-quality projects. Effective communication and teamwork are crucial for this role, as you will collaborate with other crew members to achieve shared goals.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Conduct regular site visits to assess progress and address any issues that may arise;
  2. Collaborate with colleagues to identify areas for improvement and implement changes where necessary;
  3. Maintain accurate records of project activities, including task completion and time spent on each project;
  4. Participate in team meetings to discuss ongoing projects and share knowledge;

Requirements and Qualifications

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in environmental conservation or a related field;
  • Degree in environmental science, ecology, or a related discipline;
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and ability to operate machinery safely;
  • Familiarity with local flora and fauna, particularly in the context of restoration projects;
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal;
  • Ability to work in extreme weather conditions and maintain a high level of physical fitness;
