Job Title: Inspector - Welding

This project presents a unique opportunity to leverage one's expertise in welding inspection to drive excellence in quality and safety. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all welding work meets the required standards, codes, and client specifications.


Key Responsibilities:
  1. Verify welding specifications and compliance for site requirements, FGJV, and subcontractors.
  2. Ensure welding procedures are being followed correctly and that welders are using appropriate equipment and materials.
  3. Identify the qualifications of welders and the validity of their certificates.
  4. Ensure that the correct tools and equipment are being used.
  5. Perform visual inspections of welded joints, ensuring they are in accordance with WPS/drawings.
  6. Ensure compliance to the required dimensional tolerances.
  7. Maintain records of inspections conducted.
  8. Communicate with direct supervisors on a regular basis regarding welding quality and progress.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • CWI (IWI-B) Certified International Welding Inspector Basic or CSWIP 3.1 Welding Inspector AS1796 certificate 10 – Welding Supervisor White Card
  • 5 years work experience as a welding inspector
  • Extensive knowledge of welding techniques and processes
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings
  • Knowledge of health and safety practices
