We are seeking an Electrical Technician to join our team in Lithgow, NSW.

The successful candidate will be responsible for installing and maintaining electrical fixtures, fittings, service cabling, and associated elements for Council managed assets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance, improvement, or construction work within buildings.
  • Undertake duties related to the repair and maintenance of electrical installations and systems associated with Water and Sewer Operations.
  • Carry out tagging of electrical appliances and equipment.
  • Liaise with other sections and the public on matters relative to electrical works.
  • Be prepared to undertake emergency and breakdown work outside normal working hours.
About You:
  • You must hold a recognised Electrical Trade Certificate.
  • Be current and qualified as an Electrician.
  • Hold a Current WHS General Induction for Construction Training Certificate.
  • Have a minimum of three years post-trade experience.
  • Demonstrate sound knowledge of Work Health and Safety requirements.
  • Hold a Class C Driver's Licence.
  • Have a thorough working knowledge of statutory and legal requirements relative to the electrical industry.
  • Demonstrate commitment to principles of honesty and integrity.
  • Demonstrate understanding of Work Health and Safety principles.

Apart from the essential qualifications, an ideal candidate would possess an elevated work platform ticket, Scaffolding ticket, and Safe Working at Heights ticket. This role offers opportunities for career advancement and professional growth.
