Fire Protection Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Fire Protection Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing and maintaining fire suppression systems, servicing and repairing them, as well as ensuring awareness of individual site Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) policies.

The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, understanding of mining machines, electrical or fire experience, and the ability to undergo a pre-employment medical.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation and maintenance of fire suppression systems
  • Servicing and repairing of fire suppression systems
  • Maintaining awareness of individual site WHS policies
  • Liaising with internal staff regarding work changes and schedule updates
  • General housekeeping and document control

Requirements:

  • Strong mechanical skills and knowledge of mining equipment
  • Understanding and knowledge of fire suppression systems
  • Electrical or fire industry experience preferred
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment medical examination
  • Familiarity with WHS policies and procedures
  • Bonus points for sprinkler or pump experience
