About the Role:
The Psychology: Leading Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Gambling Psychologist to join our team. As a key member of our clinical team, you will be responsible for providing professional psychological treatment to clients experiencing gambling-related challenges or harm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and treatment for clients with gambling harm and any relevant comorbidities.
- Participate in case conferences and multidisciplinary team meetings to optimize client care.
- Develop and implement community engagement strategies to build links with key stakeholders and raise awareness of gambling harm in the community.
- Foster open communication and collaboration within the team, addressing stakeholder queries and concerns in a timely manner.
- Contribute to the achievement of clinic and team outcomes by participating in projects, activities, or tasks as specified by the Clinic Director.
About You:
We are looking for a Gambling Psychologist who has:
- A full and current registration in Australia as a psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia.
- Demonstrable understanding and experience in complying with Good Clinical Practice, regulatory, ethical, privacy, and other relevant guidelines.
- Experience in the provision of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
- Experience in the treatment and assessment of gambling-related issues (desirable).
- Experience working with First Nations clients and culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities (desirable).
- Experience in community engagement activities (desirable).
