About the OpportunityThe Psychology: Leading Group is seeking a highly skilled Gambling Psychologist to join our team. As a key member of our GambleAware team, you will work within the guidelines of our operating policies and contribute to community engagement, outreach, clinical research, and service delivery evaluation.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct Comprehensive Assessments: Conduct thorough psychological assessments and treatment for clients experiencing gambling-related challenges or harm, as specified by the Clinic Director.
- Collaborate with Multidisciplinary Teams: Participate in case conferences and multidisciplinary team meetings to optimize client care and ensure seamless communication.
- Engage with the Community: Participate in community engagement events to build relationships with key stakeholders and raise awareness of gambling harm in the community.
- Foster Open Communication: Foster open communication and collaboration within the team, addressing stakeholder queries and concerns in a timely manner.
- Contribute to Clinic Outcomes: Contribute to the achievement of clinic and team outcomes by participating in projects, activities, or tasks as specified by the Clinic Director.
We are looking for a Gambling Psychologist who has:
- A full and current registration in Australia as a psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia.
- Demonstrable understanding and experience in complying with Good Clinical Practice, regulatory, ethical, privacy, and other relevant guidelines.
- Experience in the provision of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
- Experience in the treatment and assessment in the area of gambling (desirable).
- Experience working with First Nations clients and CALD communities (desirable).
- Experience in community engagement activities (desirable).
