The Psychology: Leading Group is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Lead Clinical Psychologist to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the clinical service offerings for our GambleAware services across Sydney Central, Western Sydney, Blue Mountains, and South West Sydney.
Key Responsibilities- Lead Clinical Service Offerings: Oversee the provision of psychological assessment and treatment for clients of the GambleAware services.
- Leadership and Management: Work as part of the leadership team with the Director and Clinic Manager to oversee the strategic direction, delivery of services, and contribute to reporting requirements.
- Clinical Governance: Ensure reporting and compliance requirements for the clinical aspects of the GambleAware services are met to the University of Sydney Clinical Governance and to the funder.
- Community Engagement: Oversee the Community Engagement work of the GambleAware services with support from the Clinic Manager.
- Representation and Communication: Speak at conferences about the clinical and research-related outputs of the GambleAware services and represent the clinic in media interviews as required.
We are looking for a highly experienced and skilled Lead Clinical Psychologist who has:
- Postgraduate Qualifications: Postgraduate qualifications in Clinical Psychology.
- Accreditation and Supervision: Been accredited as an approved supervisor with the Psychology Board of Australia endorsements as a clinical psychologist with AHPRA.
- Leadership and Management Experience: Experience in the supervision, training, mentoring, and performance management of clinical psychology interns and staff.
- Knowledge and Skills: Superior knowledge of clinical practices, including an understanding of Good Clinical Practice guidelines, and an ability to apply quality control procedures.
- Leadership and Engagement: Extensive experience in people leadership, engagement, and management, ideally within the higher education and/or health sector.
- Treatment and Assessment: Experience in the treatment and assessment of gambling (desirable).
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of clinical practices, leadership and management principles, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
