About the Opportunity

The Australian Psychological Society Limited is seeking a skilled Gambling Psychologist to join our team. As a key member of our Gamble Aware team, you will work within the guidelines of our operating policies to contribute to community engagement, outreach, clinical research, and service delivery evaluation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct psychological assessments and treatment for clients with gambling harm and relevant comorbidities.
  • Participate in case conferences and multidisciplinary team meetings to optimize client care.
  • Engage in community events to build links with key stakeholders and raise awareness of gambling harm.
  • Foster open communication and collaboration within the team, addressing stakeholder queries and concerns in a timely manner.
  • Contribute to the achievement of clinic and team outcomes by participating in projects and activities as specified by the Clinic Director.

About You

We seek a Gambling Psychologist who has:

  • Full and current registration in Australia as a psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia.
  • Demonstrable understanding and experience in complying with Good Clinical Practice, regulatory, ethical, privacy, and other relevant guidelines.
  • Experience in the provision of CBT.
  • Experience in the treatment and assessment in the area of gambling (desirable).
  • Experience working with first nations clients and CALD communities (desirable).
  • Experience in community engagement activities (desirable).
