Job Description

As a Hospitality Service Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional support to our care home’s hospitality function. This includes catering, cleaning, and laundry services that cater to the needs of our residents.

Our goal is to provide a comfortable and welcoming environment for our residents, and we are seeking an individual who shares this vision. You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and quality in our residents' rooms, bathrooms, communal areas, and living spaces.

Responsibilities include loading washers and dryers, sorting linen, hanging, folding, wrapping, or ironing linen, as well as assisting with basic food preparation, providing meals and snacks, clearing dining areas, and dishwashing.

You will also be responsible for responding to residents' queries and requests, completing required documentation and reporting, and ensuring legislated workplace health and safety standards are met.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with residents, colleagues, and external partners.
  • Previous experience in catering, food service, or cleaning is preferred but not essential.
  • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts throughout the week, including weekends and public holidays.
