Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Venue Manager to lead our hospitality operations at Josef Chromy Wines. The successful candidate will oversee the delivery of superior service, manage operational costs, and lead a team of staff to achieve exceptional customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and oversee hospitality operations, including restaurant, events, and cellar door
  • Ensure delivery of superior service and maximize customer satisfaction
  • Control operational costs in line with budgetary requirements
  • Work cross-functionally with operational leaders
  • Lead restaurant, cellar door, and events teams, including management of staff, training, coaching, and recruitment
  • Project delivery of large-scale events, including Grapes of Mirth, Effervescence, and Festivale
  • Be responsive to customer feedback, compliments, complaints, and enquiries
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a similar role
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills
  • Financial acumen and ability to manage budgets effectively
  • Exceptional customer service skills and passion for delivering memorable experiences
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Flexible approach to work, including ability to work weekends and evenings as required
  • Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, particularly in relation to food safety and alcohol licensing
