Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Venue Manager to lead our hospitality operations at Josef Chromy Wines. As a key member of our senior management team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer experiences and maximizing revenue across our Cellar Door, Events, and Restaurant operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and oversee the hospitality operations of Josef Chromy Wines, including Cellar Door, Events, and Restaurant
  • Ensure superior service and customer satisfaction across all operations
  • Manage operational costs and budgets effectively
  • Work collaboratively with operational leaders to achieve business objectives
  • Lead and develop the Restaurant, Cellar Door, and Events teams
  • Project manage large-scale events, including Grapes of Mirth, Effervescence, and Festivale
  • Respond to customer feedback, complaints, and enquiries in a timely and professional manner
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in the hospitality or wine industry
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills
  • Financial acumen and budget management experience
  • Exceptional customer service skills and a passion for delivering memorable experiences
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • A flexible approach to work, including weekends and evenings as required
  • Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, particularly in relation to food safety and alcohol licensing
