Commissioning Project Manager
As a Commissioning Project Manager at Canadian Solar, you will be responsible for overseeing the commissioning process of energy storage systems. This role requires a strong understanding of commissioning and testing procedures, as well as excellent communication and project management skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage commissioning projects from planning to completion, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
- Develop and implement commissioning plans, specifications, and checklists in accordance with client and company standards.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, construction, and operations, to ensure seamless project execution.
- Conduct site inspections and functional testing of energy storage systems to ensure compliance with specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of equipment and materials.
- Analyze test results and identify areas for improvement, implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Provide technical support and guidance to project teams and stakeholders, ensuring smooth project execution and resolution of technical issues.
Qualifications and Experience:
- BS in an engineering field or equivalent experience/practical knowledge.
- 5-10 years of relevant experience in commissioning and/or systems engineering within an energy storage integrator or EPC contractor.
- Direct experience in energy storage systems, medium voltage stations, and/or related products/systems.
- Proficient in specification, technical bid analysis, and procurement of major equipment such as inverters, transformers, switchgear, etc.
- Proficient in SCADA systems and associated communication protocols.
- Sound understanding of commissioning and testing of energy storage projects, including regulatory standards and local code compliance.
- Excellent project management and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
