Job Overview

We are seeking an individual to fill the role of Roster Officer.

  • This position requires demonstrated staff roster management skills, preferably within a 24/7 operating environment.
  • The ideal candidate will possess information technology skills at a competent level with a willingness to learn new IT skills and use internal information management databases as well as Microsoft Office software.
  • A key aspect of this role is planning & Organising abilities to ensure tasks are completed within the required deadlines and in accordance with all relevant policies and procedures.
  • Candidates must be able to use judgement and discretion with confidential information.
  • Sound Interpersonal, oral and written communication skills for gathering and providing information both over the phone and in person, to a range of stakeholders and the ability to listen, understand and to negotiate with staff on staffing/roster management and HR related issues are essential.
  • The successful applicant will have the ability to acquire knowledge of relevant acts and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage staff rosters effectively to meet organisational needs.
  • Develop and implement effective rostering systems that align with business objectives.
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of roster-related tasks to maintain efficiency.
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately to protect organisational interests.
  • Provide excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with stakeholders and promote a positive work environment.
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant legislation and regulations to ensure compliance.
