About the Role

The Digital Marketing and E-commerce Director plays a pivotal role in shaping and executing e-commerce strategies, expanding market reach, enhancing customer satisfaction, and driving business objectives for Sharp and Carter.

This key position reports to the Head of Marketing and is responsible for managing the e-commerce platform, driving online sales and revenue growth, and ensuring the efficient operation of all e-commerce activities. The role involves strategic planning, execution, and analysis of online sales and marketing efforts to achieve revenue and growth goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Platform Management: Manage and optimize the e-commerce platforms to ensure a seamless and efficient user experience.
  • P&L Ownership: Take full ownership of the Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) P&L, including setting targets, managing budgets, and driving profitability.
  • E-commerce Strategies: Develop and execute e-commerce strategies to drive traffic, engagement, and sales across the website.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, sales, and customer service to ensure alignment and support for e-commerce initiatives.
  • Market Analysis: Analyze market trends, customer data, and digital analytics to optimize campaigns and improve online visibility and engagement.
  • Digital Marketing: Strategize and execute digital marketing campaigns to promote products and services.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements within e-commerce operations and the management of third-party partners.
  • E-commerce Strategy: Develop and execute an e-commerce strategy aligned with overall business goals.
  • Market Growth: Identify opportunities for growth within the online marketplace and oversee the design, functionality, and user experience.
  • Vendor Management: Manage relationships with external vendors, agencies, and partners to support e-commerce operations and initiatives.
  • Website Management: Ensure the website and content is up-to-date, responsive, and optimized for SEO and manage product listings, descriptions, and images to maximize effectiveness.
  • Order Fulfillment: Oversee order fulfillment processes and optimize shipping options.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and inspire the digital marketing team.
Requirements:
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in e-commerce management, preferably in a Retail or Consumer goods environment.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of e-commerce platforms, project management skills, digital marketing, and website optimization.
  • Knowledge: Proven experience in managing and optimizing P&L for e-commerce operations, digital marketing, including SEO, PPC, email marketing, social media, and content marketing.
  • Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
