Job Description:

As a Staff Specialist, you will work in a unique and beautiful location in northern Australia. You will contribute to developing a tertiary paediatric cardiology service and support sub-speciality services with nursing and Indigenous healthcare workers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the development of a tertiary paediatric cardiology service
  • Provide high-quality ambulatory and inpatient care for children and young people requiring sub-speciality cardiology services
  • Participate in outreach programs to remote communities
  • Care for a population including many Indigenous children with high rates of rheumatic heart disease
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Additional subspecialty interests, such as fetal echocardiography and imaging, are highly desirable
