We are seeking an experienced Administrative Coordinator to join our team at Healthscope. As an Administrative Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our hospital's administrative functions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a busy Admission desk, providing exceptional customer service to patients and their families.
  • Organise appointments and prepare admission paperwork, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Conduct follow-up requests and make reminder calls to patients, promoting timely attendance and appointments.
  • Maintain accurate and effective record management systems, including preparation of medical records.
  • Perform Health Fund Checks as required, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Manage the collection of excesses/co-payments, providing clear communication to patients and their families.
  • Coordinate with staff from other departments, fostering a collaborative and supportive team environment.
  • Complete other clerical tasks, such as data entry, to support the efficient operation of the hospital.

Griffith Rehabilitation Hospital is a private, 64-bed rehabilitation hospital that prides itself on delivering high-quality patient care. Our hospital offers a range of services, including in-patient and day patient therapy, to support patients in their recovery journey.

Selection Criteria:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with patients, families, and staff.
  • Highly developed organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and precision in all administrative tasks.
  • Experience in MS Office (Outlook, Word, and Excel), with the ability to learn new systems and technologies.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to working hours and shifts.
  • WebPas Hospital system experience is desirable, but not essential.
