
Child Mental Health Specialist

We are seeking a passionate and experienced mental health professional to deliver person-centred care to children and adolescents in a clinical setting. The successful candidate will work within a multidisciplinary team, promoting safety and quality in their practice.
- Deliver specialised mental health care to paediatric inpatients, including assessments, therapeutic engagement, and trauma-informed interventions.
- Support leadership and resource coordination, assisting senior nursing and psychiatric staff in managing care delivery and team operations.
- Ensure high-quality, consumer-centred care, maintaining effective communication with stakeholders and adhering to clinical standards and best practices.
- Contribute to team culture and leadership, helping build a collaborative, positive environment and supporting policy implementation and clinical governance.
- Promote safety and quality, identifying clinical risks, participating in safety initiatives, and supporting continuous improvement in care outcomes.
Key Qualifications:
- Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse
- Holds or is working towards relevant post-graduate qualifications in mental health or paediatric nursing
