Family Violence Counselling and Support Services - Child and Young Person Program

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Psychologist to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and supportive team member to provide counselling and support to children, young people and their families who have experienced family violence.

The successful applicant will be responsible for assisting children and young people to recover from the effects of family violence trauma through the delivery of developmentally appropriate specialist psychological services and therapeutic support.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver evidence-based interventions within family violence, trauma and attachment frameworks.
  • Conduct psychological assessments of children, young people and their families using standardised assessment methods.
  • Provide therapeutic interventions, case management services and referrals as necessary.
  • Contribute to the development, implementation and evaluation of programs, including group programs and sessions for clients of Children and Young Persons' Program and Family Violence Counselling and Support Service.

Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification in psychology.
  • Registration with the Psychology Board of Australia.
  • Working with children registration.
  • Current driver's licence.
