Job Opportunity

A senior physiotherapy leadership position is available within the Southern Area Brain Injury service (SABIS). This role will focus on delivering high-quality client care and mentoring staff.

Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Lead a team of physiotherapists to optimize client care delivery and develop staff skills.
  2. Develop interventions to enhance clients' physical abilities and independent living skills, working closely with the SABIS team and relevant partners.
  3. Provide community-based services to adult clients, using telehealth to support patients in their homes as needed.
  4. Assess, intervene, and consult for pediatric clients based on service demand.
Requirements
  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Physiotherapist.
  • Extensive experience in rehabilitation, with expertise in brain injury services and the ability to work independently in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Excellent negotiation, decision-making, and advocacy skills, including collaborative stakeholder consultation.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills in a fast-paced clinical/administrative environment, with the ability to problem-solve and prioritize tasks independently.
  • Ability to initiate, lead, complete, and share quality improvement initiatives and service evaluation processes with colleagues.
  • Capacity to provide case management for individuals with complex needs in a community setting.
  • Current unrestricted driver's license and willingness to drive/travel as required.
