Job Title: Automation Systems Manager

The role of the Automation Systems Manager involves overseeing the design, development, and implementation of complex control systems for industrial automation solutions.

  • This includes leading a team of engineers in designing, developing, and implementing complex control systems.
  • The successful candidate will have a strong background in engineering, with experience in leadership positions and a proven track record of delivering projects.
Key Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering
  • Proven success in a leadership position
  • 5 years+ of experience in industrial automation solutions, preferably in materials handling such as parcel sortation and conveyor systems
  • Design of complex control systems architectures and specifications for controls systems
  • Development of control system code, providing expertise in programming languages, standards, and tools
  • Ability to prepare and present complex technical data
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
Responsibilities:
  1. Lead the Low Level Controls team on full project life cycle engineering of PLC and control systems design, development, implementation, and commissioning onsite
  2. Lead complex projects, coaching and mentoring engineers
  3. Contribute to the continuous improvement of control systems processes
