Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Technician to join our team at Dugald River Mine.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe installation and maintenance of underground mobile fleet automation systems, including remote control stations, site infrastructure, and on-vehicle components.

This is an exciting opportunity for a technically-minded individual to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with a strong focus on safety and quality.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage preventative and corrective maintenance for Dugald River mobile fleet automation systems and platforms
  • Assist production and maintenance teams as needed
  • Ensure compliance with MMG Process Framework and A2D Processes
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives through the change management process

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Certificate III in Automotive Electrical Technology or equivalent
  • Strong understanding of modern automation systems and their application in underground metalliferous mining
  • Good working knowledge of technologies used in underground mobile fleet automation, including Wi-Fi and networking, teleremote and autonomous control systems
  • Installation, testing / commissioning, and complex fault finding and repair of all aspects of mobile fleet automation systems
  • Sandvik AutoMine training or experience is an advantage
  • Current C Class License
