Commercial Manager Role

The Deputy Director - Contracting Manager is responsible for the performance and management of commercial and contract functions.

This role requires a high degree of autonomy, sound decision-making and judgement to provide expert strategic and policy advice.

The Deputy Director - Contracting Manager will have in-depth knowledge of the contracting and procurement function and are responsible for developing, implementing, complying with and reviewing relevant policies and procedures.

This role will represent the organisation in leading/supporting contract negotiations on commercial issues, engage in complex problem solving and issue management.

The Deputy Director - Contracting Manager is accountable to plan procurement, lead and manage human and physical resources and exercise associated people and financial responsibilities.

About the Position

Reporting to the Director - Business Enterprise Management, this role consists of contract management and contracting and procurement officers who are geographically dispersed across Training Authorities.

This position is seeking an experienced individual to join the team. To be successful as a Deputy Director - Contracting Manager, you will need to be a dynamic leader with strong customer service focus who can build relationships with stakeholders to solve problems and lead continuous improvement initiatives.

You will need to be adept in stakeholder engagement and relationship management, with good interpersonal skills, including negotiation, communication and influencing.

You will need to be able to manage complex or difficult issues, identify, anticipate and respond to stakeholders' needs and expectations.

This role requires an agile approach to managing competing priorities and the ability to remain focussed on delivering outcomes working with a diverse and dispersed workforce.
