Job Title: Senior Construction Project Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Project Coordinator to lead our team in delivering complex construction projects. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to join our organization and contribute to the success of our City Projects Program.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing construction projects from design through to completion, ensuring that projects are executed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and coordinating the construction team to deliver projects in line with industry best practices and statutory requirements;
  • Managing contract administration for complex construction contracts, emphasizing quality, continuous improvement, and stakeholder satisfaction;
  • Developing and maintaining project management systems to support effective project delivery;
  • Auditing and assessing contractor compliance with contracts, plans, designs, and specifications, managing any non-conformances;
  • Providing expert project management advice, interpreting and advising on regulatory requirements for Council's City Projects Program;
  • Identifying and managing potential public liability claims and engaging proactively with stakeholders to ensure alignment with Council's objectives and values.

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A degree or diploma in Project Management, Architecture, or a related field;
  • Proven experience in project management, procurement, contract management, and construction, including the execution of major building and renewal projects;
  • A current Class C Driver's Licence.
