Senior Cost Planner

About the Position:

We are seeking an accomplished Senior Cost Planner to take on key responsibilities in our organization. As a pivotal member of our cost planning team, you will provide high-level cost planning advice to clients and support the front-end operations of our business unit.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategic cost plans for clients, capable of handling multiple tenders.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients and quantity surveyors to identify future work opportunities and build a robust pipeline.
  • Provide expert cost planning guidance to potential clients.
  • Assess preliminary estimates and forecasts against construction programs.
  • Manage the Request for Tenders process in the market and secure suitable trade coverage for each tender.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of the subcontractor trade market and identify suitable subcontractor bases for each tender/project.
  • Deliver statistical and analytical breakdowns for each tender, including trade coverage/risk and opportunities.
  • Oversee and coordinate tender submissions and returnable schedules within stipulated timeframes.
  • Present cost plans and tenders to clients, handle post-tender queries and submissions.

Requirements:

  • Construction Management or Quantity Surveying degree.
  • At least 10 years of post-graduate experience working as a senior cost planner for a head contractor from a Tier 1/2 background.
  • Proven experience in delivering tenders within the building sector across NSW.
  • A friendly and approachable personality with excellent communication skills.
