We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Proficient Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our dynamic team at Northcott. As a Behaviour Support Specialist, you will play a critical role in mentoring and coaching Core Behaviour Support Practitioners to deliver high-quality support to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop Comprehensive Behaviour Support Plans: Create and implement behaviour support plans that meet NDIS commission requirements for customers with complex support needs.
  • Mentor and Coach Core Practitioners: Provide ongoing guidance and support to Core Behaviour Support Practitioners to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Assessments and Support: Conduct assessments for existing and potential customers to support Northcott's Housing Pathway, and provide specialist behaviour support in various contexts.
  • Professional Development: Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge, and contribute to the growth and development of the team.
  • Eligibility and Qualifications: Hold a tertiary qualification in a relevant field, such as Psychology, Social Work, or an allied health area, and have a minimum of three years' experience mentoring staff to implement Behaviour Support strategies.
