Support Caregiver for Young Man with Cerebral Palsy

This is an opportunity to provide personal care and domestic support to a young man with Cerebral Palsy in Glen Waverley. If you are positive, outgoing, compassionate, responsible and reliable then maybe you would suit this role.
Job Description:The successful applicant will be responsible for providing showering, dressing, lifting, feeding assistance and other carer duties as required. You should have sought-after workplace ethics and behavior to ensure the wellness and safety of our client. We prefer someone who is an excellent cook, able to prepare meals for a disabled man.
Must have a reliable vehicle that can bring Matthew to places he likes to go. Please check the distance to Glen Waverley; you must be within 20km radius.
Required Skills and Qualifications:- Showering, Dressing, Lifting, Feeding Assistance and other carer duties.
- Sought-after workplace ethics and behavior.
- Excellent cooking skills.
- Reliable vehicle.
- Australian residency.
- NDIS Worker Check or willingness to undergo at the time of recruitment.
- Wages paid fortnightly above award + weekend penalty rates.
- All training needs provided through paid shadow shifts.
- Residency Requirements: Australian Citizens and Permanent Residents only.
- No carer experience necessary.
- 8 - 10 hours per week.
- Minimum 12 months commitment required.
