We help the community prevent, prepare for, respond to, and recover from the impact of fire and emergency events.
Our team provides programs and services throughout a state, encompassing fire management services, disaster management, and emergency operations.
Our purpose is to support the development and implementation of decision information systems spanning multiple hazards.
Purpose of RoleAs an Advanced Capability Support specialist, you will contribute to creating documentation for technical processes and systems, as well as related communications for capability uplift projects, including user training guides.
You will work with stakeholders to write, edit, and construct administrator, developer, and user documentation for existing and new processes relating to risk assessment, environmental sciences, and emergency operations.
This role involves collaborating with specialists to manage analytics and decision support tools and systems that enable us to meet community needs.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, review, and implement systems documentation, processes, and procedures within negotiated timeframes to support capability uplift and development.
- Work closely with users, developers, administrators, and systems to capture requirements, processes, caveats, and related information.
- Publish outputs to platforms as required.
- Produce communications to stakeholders regarding new developments, products, or offerings.
- Assist in preparing and delivering short training sessions on usage of various products developed in-house.
- Prepare and review reports, briefs, submissions, and other correspondence supporting advanced capability strategies and programs.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to maintain effective working relationships and ensure capability products are maintained.
