Property Management Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Property Manager to join our team at Homekind Real Estate. As a valued member of our organization, you will be responsible for supporting our Senior Property Manager with operational tasks and growing into your own portfolio.

At Homekind, we pride ourselves on creating a positive and collaborative work environment where you feel excited to come to work. We achieve this through office initiatives and community engagement, but most importantly by setting you up for success. To do this, we cap our caseloads at 100 properties per property manager, allowing you to manage your workload effectively and provide the best possible service to our clients.

As a Property Manager, you will be responsible for a portion of our residential property portfolio (40-60 TBD). Together, we will build your portfolio until we reach your capacity of 100 properties. You will also be expected to source and secure new managements, list residential properties for lease, and undertake market research and provide marketing advice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contribute to the management of a residential property portfolio under the guidance of the Senior Property Manager.
  • Prepare and issue tenancy agreements, rental bond documents, advertising material, inventory schedules, and property inspection reports.
  • Conduct inspections with prospective tenants and negotiate lease terms between tenants and property owners.
  • Source and secure new managements; list residential properties for lease; undertake market research and provide marketing advice.
  • Assess and process tenancy applications; coordinate property repairs and maintenance and prepare related reports.
  • Advise owners and tenants on preventative and planned maintenance; represent owners before tenancy tribunals and provide advice on residential tenancy matters, including tenancy terminations.
Requirements
  • A current South Australian Property Managers license.
  • A current SA driver's license.
  • Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
  • Indicate ability to conduct market appraisals for the lease of residential property; experience with preparing and issuing tenancy documents is preferred.
