We're on a mission to become Australia's leading digital insurer—and we're looking for a Senior Motor Underwriter who shares our ambition. In this role, you'll lead the underwriting of complex motor portfolios, applying expert judgement and leveraging digital tools to deliver exceptional customer outcomes. You'll collaborate with distribution partners, product teams, and fellow underwriters to drive growth, innovation, and underwriting excellence.

You'll also play a key role in mentoring others, supporting strategic initiatives, and contributing to the evolution of our underwriting frameworks—all while helping shape the future of motor insurance in a digital-first environment.

You will also be responsible for the following:

• Underwrite and analyse renewal and new business opportunities within delegated authority levels.
• Collaborate with brokers and internal teams to deliver tailored property insurance solutions.
• Leverage data insights and digital tools to inform pricing, coverage decisions, and risk assessments.
• Partner across Claims, Distribution, and other underwriting lines to support multi-line opportunities.
• Contribute to underwriting innovation by sharing insights and supporting proposition development.
  
  

Important to your success – let's grow together

We're looking for a seasoned motor underwriter with strong commercial acumen and a digital mindset—someone who can balance risk with opportunity, lead change, and collaborate across teams to drive underwriting excellence and innovation.

In order to be successful, you will have the following:

• 6+ years of insurance experience, including motor underwriting and sales.
• Business degree or equivalent, with ANZIIF CIP Senior Insurance Qualification.
• Proven success in driving digital transformation or innovation within underwriting.
• Strong understanding of underwriting systems, digital platforms, and data analytics.
• Skilled in risk assessment using both traditional and digital methodologies.
• Effective communicator and collaborator with internal teams and external partners.
