About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Operations Lead to oversee Finance Operations across Australia and New Zealand. This role will ensure control principles are implemented across the region, encompassing Freight, Supply Chain, and CAPEX Control.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee month-end general ledger close for warehouse operations, freight, and inventory, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Prepare and present monthly business reviews with financial and operational commentaries to the Operations team and ANZ leadership team.
  • Develop and submit reports to the FP&A team, providing actionable insights for strategic decision-making.
  • Maintain Business Intelligence Dashboards to support business reporting teams, enhancing visibility and efficiency.
  • Collaborate closely with Operations management to drive process improvements and optimize financial performance.
  • Provide comprehensive reporting needs covering all aspects of warehouse operations, including Headcount and Labour/Non-Labour costs analysis.
  • Assist in preparing and consolidating Forecasting and Budget costs, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
  • Support the development of monthly inventory and logistics dashboards, enabling data-driven decisions.
  • Be responsible for budgeting, forecasting, and Strategic Business Planning of inventory and freight, driving growth and profitability.
  • Participate in cross-functional system implementation projects and process improvement initiatives, fostering a culture of innovation.
  • Demonstrate unwavering commitment to compliance and integrity with accounting rules, company policies, and financial tools.
  • Contribute to audit reviews with the Compliance Officer and provide support on ad-hoc tasks and queries.

Candidate Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role within commerce and industry, with a proven track record of success.
  • CA or CPA qualified or an equivalent level professional qualification, demonstrating expertise in financial management.
  • Exceptional Excel financial modelling skills, with Power BI and Hyperion being highly desirable.
  • Strong forecasting and budgeting skills, with the ability to think creatively and drive results.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate, influence, and communicate effectively across all levels of the business.

Remuneration Package:

The successful candidate will be offered a competitive remuneration package, inclusive of a base salary of $75 per hour, plus superannuation hourly rate.

Work Arrangement:

This is a hybrid role, requiring the incumbent to work 2 days from home, while maintaining regular office hours at our Easter Creek location in Sydney, NSW.
