Claims Coordinator Role

The Claims Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of workers' compensation claims for injured employees within a self-insured framework.

This involves coordinating medical care, facilitating return-to-work programs, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and collaborating with medical providers, employees, and management to promote a safe and efficient work environment.

To succeed in this role, the ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and empathy for the challenges injured employees face. They should have a Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, Nursing, or a related field, along with at least 2 years of experience in workers' compensation case management, preferably in a self-insured environment.

The successful candidate will also have strong knowledge of workers' compensation laws and regulations, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously and prioritise effectively.

They will be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and have excellent organisational skills with a focus on accuracy.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate medical care and facilitate return-to-work programs.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Collaborate with medical providers, employees, and management to promote a safe and efficient work environment.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, Nursing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in workers' compensation case management, preferably in a self-insured environment.
  • Strong knowledge of workers' compensation laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
