Job Overview

This is a fixed-term, part-time position for a Clinical Nursing Specialist to provide clinical nursing expertise in the management of donor post-test results and counseling.

The successful candidate will have a postgraduate certificate in sexual health or a Master's degree in Public Health, or equivalent experience, and be a registered nurse with current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Registration Agency (AHPRA).

They will also have at least 5 years of post-registration experience in a relevant area of practice, excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills, and the ability to utilize a range of computer systems.

The role involves working with customers, providing post-test discussions, and using information and reporting systems appropriate to the position.

The successful candidate will be able to take initiative, work with minimal supervision, and demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical nursing expertise in the management of donor post-test results and counseling
  • Assist in other relevant areas of medical services as required
  • Work with customers to provide post-test discussions
  • Use information and reporting systems appropriate to the position

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A postgraduate certificate in sexual health or a Master's degree in Public Health, or equivalent experience
  • Current registration with AHPRA
  • At least 5 years of post-registration experience in a relevant area of practice
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
  • The ability to utilize a range of computer systems
