Support youth programs by assisting with participant engagement, program delivery, and administrative tasks in a collaborative environment.

Your Role
  • Work under supervision to assist with databases, client files, and NDIS Team Meetings.
  • Input data into existing systems and quality audit client information.
  • Ensure adherence to policies and procedures related to NDIS operations.
  • Assist in group and one-on-one sessions with participants under supervision.
  • Help build capacity for participants to achieve goals and provide feedback on progress.
  • Utilize frameworks to support learning and development.
  • Inspire students to create projects and provide feedback.
  • Model behavior standards and build positive relationships with students.
  • Assist in running experiential-based student programs.
  • Maintain accurate records of student information.
  • Raise concerns about student welfare or other issues with the team.
  • Provide additional support as needed across various areas of youth services.
About You
  • Working with Children Check required.
  • Disability Services Employment Screening Check OR NDIS Worker Check necessary.
  • Willingness to undertake training in Reporting Abuse and Neglect in an Educational Care setting prior to employment.
  • Valid South Australian drivers' licence.
  • Proficient use of Microsoft applications.
  • Ability to build positive working relationships and engage with young people and participants of varying disabilities.
  • Ability to adapt in a busy learning environment and provide support as needed.
  • Demonstrated initiative and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
  • Ability to work sensitively with culturally diverse individuals.
  • Innovative approach with a willingness to share practical skills and work experientially.
  • Knowledge and understanding of issues affecting young people's engagement with learning and employment.

Desirable:

  • Previous experience in youth or disability-related work.
  • Knowledge of secondary education and curriculum.
  • Understanding of current labour market and employment barriers and opportunities for young people.
