Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and skilled professional to fill the role of Senior Practitioner in our residential program for at-risk youth. The successful candidate will provide therapeutic case management and leadership within the program, working closely with Youth Support Workers.

  • Develop and lead Support and Safety Plans, including for children, in collaboration with DCP and clients.
  • Provide therapeutic case management focusing on parenting, mental health, housing, and wellbeing.
  • Supervise and guide Youth Support Workers and support case direction.
  • Support young people with Moving to Adult Life and Independence plans under SPC contracts.
  • Build community links, coordinate services, and advocate for best outcomes through multi-agency collaboration.
Key Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess a degree in Social Work (or be working towards registration) and experience working in youth homelessness, mental health, or related fields.

  • A calm, confident leadership style and strong communication skills.
  • Confidence managing risk and complexity in a fast-paced environment.
  • A valid WWCC and First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain).

Preference may be given to candidates with expertise in areas such as mental health, substance misuse, domestic violence, homelessness, and parent/child attachment and trauma responses.
