About this role

We are seeking a skilled Payroll Specialist to join our team at Holcim, a global leader in innovative and sustainable building solutions. As a Payroll Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring seamless operations across the payroll function, developing and refining processes, and delivering a professional and responsive payroll service to the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • End-to-end payroll service delivery, processing, and assisting in the weekly, fortnightly, and monthly pay cycles.
  • Establishing and maintaining strong working relationships with internal and external customers, fostering improvement opportunities.
  • EOM (End of Month), including Superannuation, Payroll Tax, Third Party payments, and year-end activities.
  • Conducting testing for necessary upgrades or system patches.
  • Assisting with establishing robust payroll processes and improving existing processes.
Requirements
  • A Business or Payroll Administration qualification would be advantageous.
  • Credible End to End payroll processing experience ideally within large, complex, and high-volume environments.
  • Previous experience in Chris21 (iChris) system.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Sound understanding of Industrial Awards/Enterprise Agreements (preferable).
  • Advanced proficiency in use of Excel.
  • Be a demonstrated initiative-taker with capability to take ownership of tasks.
  • A team player with a positive and energetic outlook.
  • Demonstrated experience working within the following systems:
  • Google
  • Kronos/Dimensions (UKG)
  • ServiceNow
  • SuccessFactors
  • Experience using IT Support systems (i.e. Servicenow) to prioritise, triage, and support end-user issues.
