About this role

We are seeking a skilled Payroll Specialist to support our Head of Payroll and Payroll Team Leader in ensuring seamless operations across the payroll function.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, refine, and roll out both existing and new payroll processes, adhering to compliance and legislative requirements.
  • Deliver a professional and responsive payroll service to the business, meeting the needs of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist in the weekly, fortnightly, and monthly pay cycles, including End-of-Month activities.
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external customers, fostering improvement opportunities.
  • Conduct testing for necessary upgrades or system patches, and assist in establishing robust payroll processes.
Requirements
  • A Business or Payroll Administration qualification would be advantageous.
  • Credible End-to-End payroll processing experience in large, complex, and high-volume environments.
  • Previous experience in Chris21 (iChris) system.
  • High level of attention to detail.
  • Sound understanding of Industrial Awards/Enterprise Agreements.
  • Advanced proficiency in use of Excel.
  • Demonstrated initiative-taker with capability to take ownership of tasks.
  • A team player with a positive and energetic outlook.
  • Demonstrated experience working within the following systems: Google, Kronos/Dimensions (UKG), ServiceNow, SuccessFactors.
