Main Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with Product Owners to understand team objectives.
  • Prepare Program Increment Plans.
  • Host daily stand-ups and participate in Scrum or Scrum ceremonies.
  • Update JIRA boards and dashboards.
  • Provide and review development estimations.
  • Participate in Business Qualification and Scoping Workshops with customers.
  • Write solution designs and low-level technical designs when necessary.
  • Review solution designs produced by Software Developers.
  • Manage day-to-day development activities and team cadence.
  • Ensure software architecture and development guidelines are followed.
  • Write epics and user stories when needed.
  • Review user stories and low-level solution designs.
  • Review test plans and test cases.
  • Lead final technical solution discussions with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assign development tasks and assist developers during development.
  • Resolve critical production issues.
  • Perform or assign code reviews.
  • Packaging releases or assign developers for QA cycles.
  • Provide technical input for production change management requests.
  • Raise application signing requests and provide necessary information.
  • Prepare or review software release notes.
  • Prepare or review production software releases.
  • Conduct handovers to L1, L2, L3 Support Teams.
  • Review KPIs and perform performance reviews of assigned resources.
  • Maintain accurate timesheets, work logs, and remaining effort for allocated resources.
  • Provide weekly status reports to stakeholders.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience in software development using Java or Kotlin programming languages.
  • Knowledge of Android application development.
  • Desirable: Experience in C/C++.
  • Familiarity with electronic payments, payment terminal devices, EMV contact/contactless environments, AS2805/ISO8583 messaging protocols, etc.
  • Understanding of networking (WiFi, Ethernet), Bluetooth an advantage.
  • Knowledge of Payments Terminal security and encryption.
  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication.
  • Experience producing design and functional documentation.

Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per annum.
